1. Supplier

The supplier is Patrick Klaassen, a sole proprietor trading as Ink of Klaassen. Full supplier information appears on the Legal & Supplier Information page.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

3. Products

Ink of Klaassen sells physical books and, where indicated, digital eBook editions. Product descriptions, formats, prices and availability are displayed on the relevant product page. We take reasonable steps to keep product information accurate.

4. Prices and delivery charges

Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR). Ink of Klaassen is not VAT registered. A flat delivery charge for physical-book orders is shown at checkout before an order is placed. International customers may also be responsible for destination-country customs duties, import taxes or charges imposed by authorities outside Ink of Klaassen’s control.

5. Orders and review before purchase

An order is placed when you complete Checkout and submit the order. Before doing so, you have the opportunity to review the transaction, correct relevant mistakes, change quantities or selections, remove items and return to the Cart.

6. Payment

Payments are processed through PayFast using the payment methods available at checkout. An order may be held until successful payment or other required payment confirmation has been received.

7. Physical-book delivery

Physical orders are dispatched through The Courier Guy. Orders are normally prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days after successful payment. Estimated delivery after dispatch is approximately 48–72 hours within South Africa, with outlying areas potentially taking longer, and approximately 14–21 days for international deliveries. These are estimates and may be affected by courier, customs, destination or circumstances outside reasonable control.

8. eBook delivery and licence

eBooks are delivered electronically through WooCommerce after successful payment and are also available from the customer’s My Account area where applicable. Each purchased eBook may be downloaded up to three times. The download permission does not have a preset expiry date, subject to the status of the order and lawful use of the file.

Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, an eBook purchase grants the customer a personal, non-transferable licence for personal use only. The file may not be redistributed, resold, uploaded for public sharing, copied for commercial distribution or otherwise reproduced without permission from the rights holder, except where the law expressly permits such use.

9. Returns and refunds

Returns, defective products and refunds are handled under the Returns & Refunds Policy. Ink of Klaassen does not create an additional voluntary change-of-mind return right. Statutory rights under applicable consumer law continue to apply.

10. Book cooling-off provision

The general seven-day cooling-off right in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act does not apply to electronic transactions for the sale of books. This does not remove other consumer rights that may apply to defective, incorrect, misdescribed or otherwise non-compliant goods, or rights arising under other applicable laws.

11. Customer accounts

Guest checkout is permitted where enabled. Customers may also create an account. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and for protecting their account credentials. Account and previous-order information may be accessed through My Account.

12. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the books, written material, branding, design, images and other original material on this website are protected by intellectual-property law. Purchasing a physical or digital book does not transfer copyright.

13. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

14. Website availability and errors

We aim to keep the website accurate and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If an obvious pricing, technical or product-information error affects an order, we may contact the customer to correct the problem before fulfilment, subject to applicable law.

15. International orders

Ink of Klaassen accepts orders for delivery worldwide where courier service is available. Customers outside South Africa may have additional mandatory rights under the laws applicable in their jurisdiction. These Terms do not exclude rights that apply irrespective of the contractual choice of law.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to a particular customer or transaction.
